Recently, my right ear has gone a bit wonky and I have dropped about 5 dB. The doctor is working on figuring out the issue, but in the mean time, I am going on an 8 week trip. I find it really annoying to use my iems (sleek customs) when the balance is off by 5db, so I am looking for an in-line, stereo vol control like this, HZR-62 but hopefully cheaper and with less than a 21 foot cable.
I know that it would decrease the audio quality less if I were to just make a short 3 in cable with a resistor on the left channel to balance them, but I leave in 3 days and I don't really have the time to make it. Also, since this is almost certainly a temporary ear issue, I can suffer through a bit of signal degradation in the short term. Any suggestions welcome.
