I was messing around with the insides of a cheapo pair of headphones to fix the right side but I can't identify the channels now.

Does anyone have a simple mp3 track or something of the sort that just identifies the channels (e.g. says "left" in left channel only and "right" in right channel only)?

I tried a Google search with (surprisingly) no worthwhile results.

Goto the windows sound properties and turn down one of the channel volumes.

Using ALSA? Alsamixer lets you adjust volumes separately between the channels, just FYI.
