I am looking to replace the earphones that came with my MP3 player and wondered whether anyone has any experience of the following:-

iSkin Cerulean X1

JVC HA-FX300

V-Moda Vibe HD (Version 2)

My present earphones are Sony MDR-EX85LP.

Musical tastes vary from pop to classical and I especially like jazz with plenty of saxophone accompaniment.

You may want to look at Shure e2cs and Ultimate ears Super.fi 3 Studios in that price range. Not sure how good they are with that type of music but they deserve a gander.

I would recommend the Etymotic Research ER-6i, which is also in that price range. But you'll want to replace the default sleeves for Shure black foam "olives."

Thank you for the suggestions for alternative earphones, will check them out.

Have seen them listed on eBay but am wary of purchasing from there.

Wait long enough and they will show up in Head-fi FS form. That way you don't get ripped off and you help out a fellow head-fier. Win win situation.
