I want to treat myself to a new setup. I am currently using Sony Z7M2 with Topping A50s.
I am considering either HD800s or ZMF Verite Closed.
I am using headphones mostly for immersive FPS games with 3D sound, and some music (jazz and electronic, like Darkside) want great bass, good detail and amazing soundstage.
The price is up to $2000 (used ok).

Well i have a meze liric closed back if thats of interest, they have crazy imaging and imo great with well recorded jazz!

Have you ever considered the Sony MDR-Z1R ? I think it has a very good soundstage for a closed set, very good bass and detail.

I ended up buying HD800s so let's see how that works out.
I know of MDR-Z1R but I wonder if having Z7M2 would mean more of the same thing

With the hd800s anemic bass, not too sure how it will do for electronic. Especially comming from the bassier z7m2, you’d probably have to eq it.
