I bought a pair of Shure SCL4 IEMs off of head-fi about 4 months ago. At first, I hated them, but now that I've experimented with the different tips, and found comfortable ones that seal well, I quite like the headphones. They seem to be fairly accurate, with what seems like a reasonable soundstage from IEMs. I do find them a bit lacking in frequency response from both the high end frequencies and low end, so I was wondering what a good step up would be.

If possible, I'd like to basically take these phones and improve them

edit: for what its worth, I mainly listen to rock, but I also listen to hip-hop/rap, jazz, classical and acoustic music.

x2. A logical and definite upgrade.
