Eyo forum,

I've been thinking of getting a new pair of headphones to accompany my DT880 Pro's (250Ohm). The thing about the Beyerdynamic's ticks me off is the very high-prominent presentation, I want something warmer. That's the main thing.

I quite liked the Hifiman HE-400's and 500's when I had them at home for testing, not sure if the 400's were any better in actual sq though, would have needed some more time. Sennheiser HD700 was an improvement in quality but really not what I wanted. I'd especially like input from someone who owns beyerdynamic and AKG headphones (K701, 702...?) Also someone who has tried beyers and the Sennheiser HD600/650.

Budget is about 700€.

Go with the HD 600 (neutral) or 650 (warm).  Neither is bright.

Some find the K/Q 70x's to be bright.

What are you currently using to drive (DAC/Amp) the Beyer DT880 Pro 250-Ohm headphones?
