Hey, if you hate your Hp's so much, i'd be happy to take them off your hands

Right now, i'm using a AC97 and a set of koss sporta pros, which clarity, balance, lack of ambient static noise, base isn't well extended... must i go on?

None of my headphones are perfect, but if you expect me to list them all, you're going to have to wait for a review, which means waiting for me to have some free time on my hands, which means waiting for me to become independently wealthy enough to quit my job (or at least go part time), which means waiting until either (a) I win the lottery, or (b) the recession does a complete turnaround, neither of which I foresee in my immediate future.

But I do agree -- they all have their faults. I didn't realize just how laid-back some headphones could be until I heard the W100's!
