Also sports I2S, but uses Stello's proprietary connector instead of the more common RJ45 jacks. Just reviewed in 6moons audio reviews: April Music U2. Unfortunately, no direct comparison with the likes of Bel Canto or Empirical Audio.

What's a USB->SPDIF Converter?....

By this time next year, we'll have 375 usb to spdif converters...lol

Looks nice though. Ins and outs on same side....

Has there been any progress with the i2S cables? I heard those were the hard thing to find in reference to connecting them to DACs especially with the RJ45s.

Wow, another one, very interesting. I really liked my Stello's DAC's (DA220 and DA220 MKII) when I had them, although I felt the USB implementation was weak. It's good to see they are trying to improve things. Hopefully next they'll improve their distribution.

That does not mean much, it's all in the implementation. What do you mean next year we will have 375$ converters heatfan? We've already got converters that are all over the map, from the 1000$ diverter, to the 700$ Off Ramp, to Bel canto's 500$ unit, then we got UD 10.1, Pop Pulse, Musiland 02, HiFace, Musiland 01, and tera-link x.. going down in price from the top.

It uses the same TENOR chip as the Audiotrak Prodigy Cube.

Hi Mike

I meant 375 converters (units). Not the price. They are popping up all over the place now.

I have four myself. Musiland 01USD, Pop Pulse and lower down the price line with only optical output, the TBAAM and Behringer UCA202. I love em'

Aside from the external power supply it does look like some of Empirical Audio's products (simple chassis). I have heard the Tenor TE7022, have you?

Found an 12S cable, 5 pin Mini Din, made by Camelot Technology. Ordered the cable thru Alan Grau at Audiowaves. Should be the correct cable. Anyone used this cable?
