My girlfriend wants a gaming headset for her birthday and I'm trying to find a good headset. My choices so far are the Steelseries Siberia v2 and the Sennheiser PC 320. I'm not sure whats best and even after lots of Google, I can't find a definitive answer.

Some things I collected about the two headsets:

Sennheiser PC 320 GAME
x Speakers: 15Hz/23KHz frequency response, 32 Ohms impedance, 113dB sound pressure
x Mic.: 2k Ohm impedance, 70Hz/15KHz frequency response, sensitivity of -38dBV/PA.
+ Big earcups
+ Adjust volume on earcup
+ Mic mute when you raise the mic
+ Better sound quality (?)
+ Noise cancelling microphone
- Less comfortable (?)
- Open earcups

Steelseries Siberia v2
x Speakers: 18Hz/28KHz frequency response, 32 Ohm impedance
x Mic.: 50Hz/16KHz, -38 dB sensitivity uni-directional
+ Comfortable
+ Known for being a gamersheadset (?)
- Sound quality not so good (?)
- Not very sturdy build quality

Anyone here who has experience with the PC 320 especially? Not a lot I can find about it, and certainly not on the more specialised forums. And what do you guys think about my pro's & cons?

If you want reviews for the pc320 try looking it up on amazon. I kind of want to buy the sennhesier u 320 which is technically the pc320 only it comes with a usb since its a multipurpose headset and can be plugged into consoles.

the U320 also has a bass boost button as well. Whats holding me back is the price since they cost around 140 and you might as well get the PC360 which cost around 160 and are better.

I have read that sennhesier headset have better sound quality as opposed to the siberias. The siberias however are very confortable

I've already ordered the headset, I had to make a choice. I bought it (here in the Netherlands) for 60 euro (including VAT & shipping). So I guess they're a lot cheaper here then. If I was to spend 160 euro's I would have indeed bought the PC 360. Exellent headset for gaming!
 
Well, we'll see how it does, it arives tomorrow.

I've had the PC320 for about half a year. During a local one-day sale, I picked them up for $45. 
They're an (semi?)-open back headphone, so their noise isolation is pretty terrible and leaks a lot of noise out. That said, they're pretty comfortable and my ears don't get hot. 
They're fairly light on bass, mids and highs are decent. While this takes out some of the engaging explosion sounds, they let me hear footsteps much better than others.
The noise-cancelling mic is clear sounding, but the noise-cancellation is only okay. It still lets some background noise through.
 
I haven't heard the Siberia v2 though, so I can't give you a comparison.

You think the Sennheiser U320 is the same as the PC320? The U320 has a Bass Boost feature since i have read that most of the PC # headsets, like the PC320, PC350, PC360 etc havelittle bass. I saw some reviews on the U320 to have more bass than others especially with the Bass Boost feature. Ive also been told that most of if not all of the PC headset were made for more precision audio and positional audio ala to give a competitive edge.

Inform me if this is true or not. Id like to get a PC headset that has moderate bass you can say, in which i can hear the 50 cal thump those rounds as i hold the trigger

I never heard of the U320 before you mentioned them, but I would assume they fit what you want. I doubt the bass will be overpowering since its an open back headphone.
If you get them, let us know how they are!

Look up the sennheiser u320 on amazon. they are there. And well im getting the MA900 first before I buy those But i will let you guys know when i get them

The microphone is awesome, but the soundstage isn't very good. I think the Steelseries Siberia v2 has a better soundstage. It sounds rather flat, but very natural though. I don't think it's an issue when used for gaming, but you'd better not buy one when you want to listen music or watch movies with it.

Build quality is great and the mute and volume thingy on the idea are also great features.

The Siberia might be a better choice when talking about comfort. The ear cups of the PC 320 might be a little shallow. But the Siberia earcups are quite small and might be more on-ear then over-ear.
