What's the better choice ?

Buy Stax SRS-3050 (SR-303 + SRM-323) and keep my ESI Juli@ soundcard
or
Buy Stax SRS-2050 (SR-202 + SRM-252) and buy a new soundcard or DAC

Thanks !

I would get the 3050, you can always upgrade that source later, this way you will also be really able to hear it when you upgrade your source

Secret option #3.

Save money and buy used. Look for deals on an SRM1/MK2 amp and a pair of Lambda Pros in excellent condition. This combo can easily be found for $600 and often a lot less and will sound absolutely great. I definitely recommend using the savings on a good source, as the Lambdas will be pretty ruthless. You can also put some of the savings toward the Lambda Signatures, and then the O2 that are inevitably in your future.

They come up pretty frequently on the FS Board here, Audiogon, and ebay. You may have to be a little patient, but they are not at all rare. A WTB post may help.

I feel ripped off, because I spent alot of money on the SRM-323II only to read here on the forums that people prefer the SRM1/MK2 amps (which go for much much less!).
