I tried to repair an srm-1 mk2 with new transistors but it failed probably because of fake chinese transistors.Could any one suggest modern available transistors to replace the old ones.Alternatively could the output stage be changed to tubes which I could fit in a larger case.If not is there a different circuit that could be used whilst retaining the old transformer and other bits,thanks.
