It's hard to find information on these, replacement cables for the Stax SR007. I bought one (see below) and it looks somewhat dodgy to me. Anyone know (preferrably someone who knows the genuine Stax part) ? I'd expect some solid uninterrupted wires sticking out, not short ends of wire soldered to stubs of the original cable.

Any knowledgeable comments gratefully received.

Looks exactly like the replacement SR-009 cable I received directly from STAX Japan.

Here's a spare unused 007 cable I have on hand. Wire leads look similar to what you posted.

Thank you both for that information. That puts my mind at ease about originality. Not too much about the cable itself though. Ah well, hope it lasts for more than 5 years this time.
