Hi all,
 
I am thinking about getting a Stax portable system. But i found some model names but;
 
SR-001MK2 that is what I want because of its amp is more portable than SRS-005II.
 
But it is said that SR001* MK2 is discontinued. How can i find it? Anyone got an idea?

I just have a look at their homapege. And it seems that the SR-001MK2 is indeed discontinued...
 
You can try some online stores in Japan and use forwarding service to send them to you. Provided they still have them in stock...By the way even Seyo-shop doesn't seem to have them in stock as well.
 
I heard rumour saying there will be something new to replace the SR-001MK2 though

If I were you I'd wait a bit! I went to the Stax dealership to purchase the 2050 system a few days ago and they were sold out. I was told that a new model will be released next month. This is also the case for the SRS 001MK2.

A new baby Stax is very exciting! Very interested to see what they have come up with.

That was good news. I will wait for release and also will look to FS forum, maybe I grab a pair cheaper than brand new and try..
