I find the clamping force of my Sr l700 mkII too high.
It looks as if the Sr L300 pads has a lower profile that might

Are the top of the cups digging into your temples? The Socas 3d printed yokes may also help, unfortunate that they don't allow full rotation like the old lambdas though.
