I need a headphone stand for my Stax any suggestions? The official stand is like 40 dollars, a bit too much for a piece of wood.

hmm, you cant really get any cheaper ready made ones. DIY seems to be the way forward.

They look great too, and at £20, a steal! Finish the collection/rig.

I am making two stands and have to say that your only choice is DIY for the price range.
I am using two found pieces of wood (driftwood) for my stands and they are very unique.
I see this as an opportunity to unleash your creative side and have something unique!

I paid about 39800 yen ($370 US) for the Stax new. Maybe I will buy the stand it did look nice. I have no tools so I would probably have to spend the 4400 yen(40 US dollars) on tools to make a stand

bluetin has it for $65, price japan not at all, and various other have it, too. But none for $40. The price can only be had in a real store in Japan.
