Are the Stax amplifiers really worth it compared to energizers driven by high-end amplifiers? I've got Lambda Pro and Lambda Sig earspeakers with SRD-7SBmk2 energizers, and power them with an Accuphase E-302. Would a Stax amp from the same era be significally better?

You know the SRCX Pro Portable Adapter does and excellent job of driving all Stax Pro Headphones. Every once and a while there is one for all on Ebay or Audiogon. They range in price from $200 to about $500. Scottsmrnyc
