I've got a ED-1 Signature, ED-1 and a Pawel HP-1 and am really liking them. I've never been a fan of equalization, instead taking the purist approach so this is something new, but the results are so surprisingly good, at least for the music I listen to (large ensemble acoustic). I don't like it as much for small ensemble, e.g. a Schubert lieder recital.
 
I'm looking for ideas and options of exploring this further outside of these devices, in both the digital and analog domains. Is there such a thing as an 'audiophile equalizer'? What about pure digital equalization?
