im interested in getting the stax system of headphones and driver set. i live in the USA, and ive heard international models arent compatible with voltage. is that the driver or the headphone compatibility issue, or both? what's that mean? i dont want to buy from USA dealers. 
 
is there anything i need to know and can do?

Mains power in the US is 120V 60Hz. In Europe and many other countries it is 240V 50Hz. Some products can handle a wide range of voltage and will work in any country, others could be destroyed if you give them the wrong power. Make sure the driver unit, or any electronics you buy from oversees that runs off mains power, can use 120V 60Hz.
