I picked up a Stax lambda and srm1-mk2 combo recently.  The seller had a pair of sr-30 and threw them in for $20 so I snagged them as well. I didn't even consider the compatibility issues that this may incur.  This is my first set of stax and all I know is that the biases have to match.  The lambda and amp are normal bias.  I tried to search for info on the sr-30 but all the setups I've seen come with a special transformer for electret cans.  I don't want to ruin anything, especially not the amp...

The SR-30's will work just fine from any Stax socket, normal or pro bias.
