Hi, all. I am about to take the plunge and replace my 25 year-old Stax Sigma/SRD7 system with 404 Signatures, but I need some guidance on which amplifier to use with them. Has anyone had a chance to compare the two tube units (SRM-006t and SRM-007t) against one another, and/or with the solid state unit (SRM-717)? Audiocubes tells me that most customers are opting for the solid state unit, but I have no real understanding of the sonic differences. Any wisdom out there would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
