Dear colleagues,

I know it's a rather curious question:

Can a STAX 007 Tube driver be modified to allow use also with a dynamic head phone ?
(I' m aware, that the electrostatic system has a 500 Voltage)
is there any way to modify one of the outlet sockets on the 007 T ? or is it cheapr & safer after all to buy a special dedicated amp (I hoped that owning one good amp could power two types of phones....

Thanks & regards

This has been asked (by me) and answered (by Kevin) before, and unfortunately the answer is no. It has nothing to do with the bias voltage that you mentioned.

I also looked into whether a dynamic headphone amp (e.g., a SinglePower SDS) can be modified so as to also drive electrostatic headphones. Unfortunately, the answer was no.

Thank you guys,

I thought "it's too nice to be true" (or possible...)
