My Astro a40s broke and am now looking for a new headphone to use with my mixamp. I play mostly Battlefield 4 as well as black ops 3 so positional accuracy is the most important to me.


There are no detailed reviews of how the status audio ob-1 headphone sounds for gaming so If anyone who has this headphone tell me if it's any good and if it's worth getting over the ad500x. Or are there other open-back headphones that are better than the two that I mentioned.


My budget is $100.

My more personal preference would be for the Sennheiser HD558, as the AD700X are a little too bass light for me.

I think imma go for those ad700x. I can find a few extra dollars to get those. I'll probably check out those sennheisers in the near future.
