I have a pair of SRH 440 that I have been using daily commuting for 6 years. They are pretty beat up now and am looking to replace , came across the CB-1 and wondered if this would be an upgrade? Let me know if anyone thinks this would be a good choice or suggest another $150 or under closed back. I need the sound isolation while on the train. My source has been Cowon S9 and Z2 but both have died so I now have a Bluewave Get on the way to use with my Samsung S7.

The CB-1 are great for the price but the SRH440 are more neutral and better built.

If you want to upgrade, the SRH840 is a good little step up from the 440

I might just wait on this until I can increase my budget then decide maybe 840 or Beyerdynamic's DT 770 PRO 32ohm
