Every so often I notice a bit of static noise going on with my AKG K271's...I'm pretty sure it's not the songs themselves because I've listened to a variety of different types and genres and the problem persists. It's not too noticeable, but it bugs me. I usually hear this when really low tuned drums are being hit rapidly, or when a distorted guitar plays by itself.

Do the cans just need to break in more or should I be concerned with this problem? The headphones did cost $180, but I got 'em from ToddtheVinylJunkie.com...I hear he has good return policies?
