Hello!

When I'm not playing music, I hear staticish noises, which increases when I, for example, use the mice or the keyboard.
Its only when I have the volume knob at higher levels. But still, as the HiFi guy I am, I wanna get rid of it.
Is this possible? Is it bad motherboard implementations or would I maybe need a converter?

You don't say what your setup is, but I'm guessing you are using your PC's onboard sound? If that's the case, then an external DAC can make a massive difference not only to the background noise, but also to overall signal clarity, detail level and spatial precision. Most motherboards have pretty basic sound support as providing high quality audio output increases production costs, takes more real estate on the motherboard, and is not really a mass market requirement.

You may also need to upgrade other audio components, as a DAC itself will only provide higher quality line output.
