Hi peeps. I have a deal coming up where I can get a modded SR225 with Gaboon Ebony cups (mini) from JMoney Audio and Senn 414 Pads.
Has anyone owned or tried this setup? I know how a stock SR225 sounds but would like to know how the woody cups would affect the sound of the SR225.
I once heard a heavily modded "nuclear shroom" 325 and man that was one heavenly beast. It had a very warm quality to it that took the edge off the 325's impact and gave a greater sense of soundstage.
It's too much for me to expect the Gaboon SR225s to sound that good but can anyone give me an idea what to expect?
