SR-71 or SR-71A

I have SR-71A.
SR-71A is very good, but I am interesting in SR-71 (not A).
So, please teach me your opinion that which amp better.

I own both and have to agree with mrarroyo's assessment in his second link.

I like them both, and they often trade back and forth as to which one I like better depending on the song. The SR71a does have a bigger bass, but I find the SR71 has a tighter presentation I prefer. Also, I'm addicted to the airy openness and wide soundstage of the SR71...it makes the SR71a seem somewhat "closed in" in comparison.

With that said, the SR71a is the second best portable I've heard IMO (behind the SR71).

Also, any headphone that has a lot of high-end energy or a tendency towards brightness should sound very good on a SR71a as it helps tame that.
