Can anyone give a brief summary of the similarities/differences of these 3 headphones? I currently have the Sr-60 using quarter modded comfies, and am thinking of upgrading to either the Ms-1 or Sr-225. Not interested in anything higher up the model lines. Thanks.

Personally, I find the SR-225 to be just like the SR-60, but better in every single way. With even the 325is, I found small things I liked better in the 60s, but the 225s are just unequivocably better.

This was my reaction comparing those 3 headphones as well. I'm contemplating how the ms-1s fit into the mix. I don't want the bright highs of the 325/125, and I'm wondering if the Ms-1's highs are more like the 225 or more like the 125, since the 225s are twice the price. I can live with the bass of the 60s even, it's the mids & highs particularly that I'm hoping will be improved by upgrading.

so even with the stock bowls the 225 aint bright??? hehehe. Seriously though ive only heard the 325s with bowls, nothing special i thought. Does the 225 sound good enough with the bowls not to change the pads?

yes it does...i am switching back and forth with bowls and flats right now.
quite a difference....you do lose some sparkle with flats and some bottom with
bowls--great cans either way

After upgrading from the SR-60 to the SR-225, I can say that its better in every way as well. More bass (goes lower), more detailed, and the soundstage is wider. Also like the look of the silver grills as opposed to the bland black SR-60
