So like my Grado SR-80's before them, my SR-225s are encountering the issue where the cables just seemingly aren't making the connection properly and the sound cuts in and one upon movement (of the head or cable). I don't know what it is about their default cabling but it sucks and I am tired of having to warranty it (with a S&H charge at my expense).
I had a pair of Panasonic headphones between my SR80's and SR225s; it came with a neat cabling system, which seemed to be fabric-based. I am looking into suggestions as to where I could buy such a cable for my SR-225 so I can get it rewired locally (I'm in Brampton, Ontario Canada). I don't mind buying the cable online but the install I'd need to do here.
Also, if I were to attempt to do the install myself, is it something difficult to do and/or is there a guide to taking these apart? (I've never opened a pair of Grados before).
