Hey there, I own 125's, and do like them, BUT, I have always wanted the 325's, but could not afford them at the time. Alas, x-mas is on the way, so now might be the time. Not many people write about the 125's, but anyone who is familiar and could help, it would be appreciated. How much better/ different are they--I've only heard the 325's once, and it was in a busy store with a lousy source--but man o man they certainly look the part. So, what do ya think?

I once upgraded from 125 to 325 before finally going RS-1, and I definitely liked the 325's better than 125's. I got a little more bass, and the sound was just better overall, especially coming out of an amp. More detail too. The 325's are the most detailed of the Grado line. Great for rock music.

I also upgrade my 125 to 325. 325 is better than 125 in every way, IMO. The high is smoother, the vocal is sweeter, and the bass is the biggest improvement. To me, 325 somehow sound colder than 125, just a bit. Maybe because of the improvement in the impacts, details and transparency overall. And yes, 325 looks much cooler

the 125 isn't magnificantely different than the 80s
and the 225 isnt' a huge difference neither I find

the 325's because of it's Rs style design of changer size
gives it alot more bass responce
and i'd say soothen out a bit more of the high harsh treble
but has even more mid details

I dunno
but it's a big difference
as people say the 325 should be called the rs-3
it even has a leather headband

Thanks for all the advice, it pretty much confirmed what I'd already suspected, but I have to admit I thought at least one person would say that the 125's were "close enough", but at least you all know your stuff well enough to know the differences are well worth the dough. At least these upgrades are cheaper than they are for speakers and amps etc. Thanks again again guys!
