i want to set up a budget home headphone system with the headphone amp as rockhopper's mini3 portable amp, and the source from my labtop, and i would like a DAC in between. I can find brand new squeezebox classic for 200 bucks and the moon no-os dac a little cheaper (with ebay cashback), and i am not sure in terms of sound quality which one is a better dac. i would be using se530 and philips sbc-hp1000 headphone for both. (i listen to soundtracks, pop, classical, jazz, and like listening details on highs and midrange better, not a basshead) Or are there better DACs out there? thanks for the comments/helps
