Am I just good at asking questions people don't know the answer to?

I've been going back and forth between getting a refurb Nano 2gig player (100 bucks) or a new Shuffle (80 bucks), and I've heard good things about the Shuffle's sound quality, so I have to be curious, ya know?

Get the Nano. It has twice the capacity and is much easier to organize and navigate since it has a screen. The shuffle DOES sound nice, and IMO, probably better than the Nano (I've used both with Shure E4c, but not done a direct A/B comparison), but you're going to use these things on the move, in a noisy environment, right? So the very small incremental sound quality loses out to usability...unless you were planning on sitting still in a quiet room at night...in which case you're better off with a standalone unit anyway.

(I'm commenting on the 1st gen Nano...I've not heard the new aluminium one)
