I have been using my HD800's recently with AK100, and the Ray Samuels Inturder which I must say kicks butt compared to my moded IPOD Classic and Bose cans. Been building a source collection from HD Tracks.

Now that I am ready to build a desktop system around my HD800's I am kindly asking for some suggestions from the experts on this board.

For the amp I am considering the Woo Audio WA22 or the WA6-SE with Jack's suggested upgrades.

I'm wide open on source suggestions that can support CD, SACCD, PC connection to a DAC then to the amp.

I'm willing to go up to $2.5K on the amp and $1k on the CD Source, DAC.

What say you guys?

Thanks

I agree with the Oppo choice, and would add Auralic Taurus MKII or Schiit Ragnarok as your amp, to be hooked up with XLR interconnects to the Oppo. Would help you save money, and these choices would provide performance far above their price-range.
