I was really hoping for ifi go blu 2 that fixes quite few of issues with existing one. The up seemed like a good substitute but you get good cheap ones for $35 on Amazon( even the one I have supports 2 headphones and works really well). So not understanding what market they plan to capture ., just stream ldac on airplanes and cars. Seems like a missed opportunity..

Don't tease me I have been waiting 3 years now 😀. There is nothing in market that has the form factor and sound of go blu .. yes including the tiny btr17 ..

What were your issues with the go blue?

What were your issues with the go blue?
1) high gain every time you turn the device on
2) hissing on all iems I own
3) inconsistent volume knob.. maybe switch to buttons
4) short range especially with ldac
5) battery bloating ..
6) horrible gaia app on android . Sideloading is something I never will do. Had to use my old ipad for FW updates
7) HW quality issues. The glue holding top plate has separated right out the box
8)! Updating firmware was a pain

Things I loved

1) superb form factor
2) decent power to power all HW I had easily
3) Tunable hardware .
4) excellent battery life
5) plethora of codec support
6) loved the sound signature, xbass and filters

If you search this thread you can see my posts on multiple issues . I think Sebastian Chu was running the support then for ifi If I remember correctly

Thanks for your response. I will certainly report these things to folks above me although I’ve never experienced any of them everyone’s different so I appreciate your honesty.

Cheers!!

Much appreciated.. thanks
Our goal will always be to make products better. If you could give me just a few examples of your IEMs that were hissing that would be helpful as well.

Obviously not every product will suit everyone’s needs and use cases, but we do try.

Cheers!!

Iems used

1) westone es5 ( ciem)
2) noble audio K10 ( ciem)
3 64 audio Nio ( universal)

I totally understand that it would be nearly impossible to target all iems. But I think go blu has low gain turned way too high to power hungry hw . So I think implementing a gain switch with proper low gain with something like iematch will solve this imo
