First time looking into a speaker, so I'm sorry for not knowing about a lot of this stuff, but I had speakers that were very similar to these ones

You may have seen them a lot at a Best Buy, but I noticed that it has an iPod dock, and before I blew them I found a way to plug it into my device with a head phone jack (It was a while ago so I can't remember). Do you guys know of popular speakers of equal to these and without an iPod dock? I found this system AMAZING, even at the mids and highs with hip hop (what do I know, though?) And I'm not made of money...anything <= $100?
