Hello all!

I am new to the speaker game and was hoping you guys could help.

I got a Audio Technica AT-LP60 turntable and have been using a SG-300 Racoon 110V amp (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/racoon-sg300-dac-tube-amp) in between my tv sound bar and the record player. I'm very much considering getting Pioneer SP-BS22-LR or Dayton Audio B652-AIR speakers but I want to know if my amp would be good for them and if I can just get a speaker wire to RCA adapter (https://www.amazon.com/Speaker-Adaptor-High-Level-Signal-Connection/dp/B013Z75RD4) to connect them.

Thoughts?

Thanks!!!

You're going to need an integrated amp or something similar (like a stereo or home theater receiver) specifically for those Pioneer or Dayton loudspeakers as they're a passive design. Alternatively, you could look into purchasing active loudspeakers, where the amplifier is built into the speakers themselves. If you purchase active loudspeakers, you could use your headphone amp as a preamp to control the volume level - probably much like your current setup with the soundbar.

Hope this helps!
