Hello,

This is my first post.

I have a huge library (AIFF) of music that span from current (high quality recording) to Tango music transferred from 78 (poor source) by the music houses. I am looking for recommendation of powered speakers.

All the music are for dancing the Argentine Tango.

My current setup: MacBook Aluminum -> AIFF -> {E-MU 0202, Meier 3Move} -> {Senn 595}.

Budget: less than $400.

Thank you.

Relatively, yes. They are all studio monitors so they attempt to be as neutral and as accurate as possible without coloration. They shouldn't have very strong, discernible characteristics.

Do give Dynaudio a go too

Not at less than $400. Unless you want to build your own Dynaudio speakers.

My bad, did not see the OP's budget. I suggested the Dyns because the KRK, Alesis and Adam were also mentioned.

I think the Audioengine A5 or nEar04 should be within your budget.
