I receltly bought a second hand Luxman SQ570 amplifier.
It seems to work fine, except that there is a hiss and crackle noise coming from only one of the speakers, when I swap the speakers over, the noise still comes from the same channel. There is also the same noise in the headphones when I plug them in.
Could anyone suggest what could be causing this noise and what I could do to stop it?

I have the exact same problem on my amp(not a luxman). I did the only thing I could, call the dealer and get him to fix it. In your case you might need to find someone who knows how to do repairs.

I'm afraid its not fixed yet! My problem is intermittent (a few secs every few hours) and probably due to a bad solder joint somewhere. Will take much time to isolate and fix. At least its under warranty.
