My active speakers have two pairs of RCA inputs, manual states their sensitivities as:
AUX: 550mV +-50mV
PC: 700mV +-50mV

Which should I use? And what difference would it make? My DAC's manual states:
Line Out output level: 2.38Vrms @ 1kHz

I am new to this and any comment is welcome.

There isn't much difference between 550mv and 700mv. I would use the AUX because it has more gain, hence less in the circuit (?). I don't know why they would be different.

Thank you for the comment.
What I looked up seemed to say that it affects the amount of volume increase with the turn of the knob. At 500mv (more sensitive), volume increase faster with each turn. At least that's what I deduced from my research. I am settling with 700mv because my speakers' knob is "notched", and I need less sensitivity for better control.

Sound quality wise I could not hear a difference.
