Hello everyone! I’ve been wanting to buy a good set of speakers (2 speakers) that are good for my type of music. I listen to mostly music from the 1930s-1950s, but also ALOT of radio broadcasts, that don’t always have good quality, sometimes crude. This includes (mostly) big band broadcasts, such as Miller, Dorsey, Shaw, James, etc. (and up to basically 1951 radio broadcasts). I was hoping to look for speakers that can handle the audio without ruining it (or distorting it beyond say phone speaker or headphone quality). This can apply to audio from my phone or audio from my CD/Record player(s). Hope to stay under 100$. Thanks for any advice.

You can look for Edifier R1280T/1280Ts or R1280DB speakers. These are really good speakers in your budget. I have these and I can vouch for it.
And another advantage of this pair of speakers is that the air vent is at the front and thus you can push it closer to the wall that other speakers which have read vented ports.
