What's the best way to break in high-end SPDIF cables such as the Zu Ash? Can the cable be broken in with an analog RCA-connector setup or does the signal have to be digital? what devices do you use? thanks in advance!

Just keep listening to it and when you no longer hear changes, that's when it's done.

I'd be unbelievably surprised if there was any difference at all. Burn in of whole amplifiers and solid state stereo components hasn't been substantiated, let alone cables.

Also, a digital cable just transmits digital signal. If it doesn't do that perfectly out of the box, you should get your money back.

based on my experience, if there is one statement i am confident of, it is that analog stereo cables take the longest - or are up there - and benefit/change the most from burn in.

This is probably not going to get anywhere with you, but that's a very simple assertion to substantiate. I'd love it if you did.

Conrary to belief unless it is a good bnc connection like a Carare
or a 75 ohm f connection like on a cable tv cable there are No true 75 ohm RCA conections out there mainly 50ohms, Canare make the closet to 75 ohms
and it is fairly close around 70,This includes WBT ,Eichman or any other
connector I see a lot of hype and BS telling you ther cable is better.
A professional broadcasting standard for cable is the Belden 1694 or 1695 for digital it is super accurate , I once questioned this also, go to Blue Jeans Cables there is a big list of questions answered truthfully.I have been an Audiophile for years and much of it is market hype unless you have $1,0000s to spend ! p.s regarding cable breakin the cable itself takes maybe
48 hours , ost of the time it is the dialectric like Teflon or whatever covers the conductor needs to settle in that can take 2x this .

This was a big question- I bought several digital cables with 4 people over
it is a fact that digital cables have a metal conductor and that changes for sure happen for the 1st 24 hours as the signal is fed the molecules still do settle with the given electrical charge which can change the balance of the digital signal this experiment was taken with a Belden 1694a Digital cable
which BTW is the professional recording studio standard !
The signal for sure was more tipped in the upper frequencies the following morning noticably smoother and and at the same DB level as well as assorted songs. Pleasealso remember when buying a digital cable the connector is just as important True 75 ohm- BNC a is the most accurate Carare s connector s good to 3Gigs which is the best
the closest RCA is also a Canare which is 200meg called a 75 ohm closer to 70 but still better than any other cable ot there this is a fact ,check the specifications !
