I have been looking for a source for good quality/low cost protoboard for a while. I have tried rat shacks big board but I found the copper pads come off too easily. I looked at mouser and digikey and they only have vectorboard which is way too expensive. I was looking for parts for some guitar effects I made for a friend and came across Small Bear Electronics. The protoboard there looks like it is good quality and at a semi reasonable price. EDIT: I just noticed that the holes on their boards are even plated all the way through.

Does anyone know of any other good sources for protoboard like this?

JV.

I have used those pad per hole perfboards that SmallBear sells and IHMO they about the best you are gonna find in that price rage.

I use the Radioshack ones, the large ones. The copper only comes of with desoldering/resoldering, but it does come off when soldering large caps or long leads. Very annoying and i too am on the look out for protoboards. Perhaps you can post on Diyaudio.com
