Just something I was curious about. I currently have an Audio-Technica AD1000x (noticeable upgrade over AD900x), the previous best headphones I've owned were Beyerdynamic DT880 pro 250ohm. Now the AT is more fun and engaging with it's upfront mids/vocals and for this reason didn't expect it to have a big airy soundstage which I do kind of miss. Even from less than great sources the Beyer could fool me into thinking sounds were coming from the room around me if I wasn't paying attention. I do have an excellent usb dac/amp on the way (NuPrime uDSD) for my AT's which should help. However the soundstage is like a miniature one immediately around my head, I'm not immersed in a big soundstage, I'm listening to a mini kind of closed in one. (Although pretty detailed, dynamic and well defined)  Does anyone with experience with the AD1000/2000x have the same experience?
