Hello forumites,
I'd like some help since I'm in the lo-budget-fi range.
Out of the motherload of pairs of silicon flanges and foams that the pl-30 came with, I found the bi-flange tips to have the best seal and comfort, followed by the foamies that came along.
Alas, I lost one of the bi-flanges, and seeing how there was no spare pair in the package, I decided to go on the market for new tips.
Now, I read here that the comply t400 are a great replacement, but with a lifespan of 3 weeks a pair, I decided to go with silicon instead. So, I noticed that the t400 tips fit the Shure e3c, and so do the Shure triple flanges, so with Logic! I deduced that the tri-flanges would work with the pl-30 as well..
I ordered a pair of Shure tri-flanges from ebay, but the silicon stem was way too tight and required some dangerous stretching to fit the headphone stem. Is that normal, or did the ebayer sell me a random pair of generic silicon tips?
Any other recommendations on replacement tips for the pl-30s?
Thanks in advance, and please, be swift, before I give in and get the pl-50s instead
