Hi, i will be heading off to college soon, and we are all getting an IBM R40 ( http://www-132.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/st...catalogId=-840 )

I just want to ask if laptop soundcards can be upgraded, and if they can, which is good. I'm just wondering since my laptop will be one of two sources for my larocco PR and sr 225s. Thanks and take care! i will keeping searching for an answer here

You have PCMCIA, USB, and Firewire (if you have the port) options.

Now that it has settled in and has stopped being so bloody bright I can recommend the Audiophile USB. It sounds pretty darn good.
