Hi,

I am looking for at least sansa clip+ level of sound quality computer sound card (internal or external).
I have SB external usb card but it sounds same as realtek mb soundcard (its just bad).

I can get ESI MAYA44-EX but not sure if that one is on same level of SQ as sansa clip ?

Thanks.

An Asus Xonar DX sound card (used $50-$60), should easly match, if not better the Sansa Clip+
What will the sound card be sending the audio signal to?

I will be using it with iloud micro speakers that replaced denon envaya mini that died some time ago but charging denon was pain.. sound is better too now.
originally was about to go with genelecs but that option would be 2x the price of ilouds.

I can get xonar used for around 30euro thanks for tip!

just got the xonar and WAUW this card sound FANTASTIC!

:)

update

btw had to use uni drivers from here:
http://uni.maxedtech.com/download/uni-xonar-1823-v1-80a-r3/

becuz those asus drivers muffled right speaker it was barely sounding like an echo of left speaker..very quiet after driver update its fixed hopefully for good.

update on uni driver: it still works fine with no problems
btw ordered another dx card as backup :)

second dx card arrived today but I get a feeling the first one sounds a bit better-more liquid and effortless bass goes deeper etc.
maybe coz its burned in more..

I really hear the difference guess I will have to burn it in to like the 2nd one its a backup card anyway...

I usually disable the motherboard's on-board audio, in the BIOS, when installing an add-on internal sound card, just to be extra safe.
