So I've been taking a look around recently wondering if there was something I could upgrade to that would provide me better audio quality than the X7. It works totally fine for what it is, but I'm just wondering what else is out there. I have Yamaha HS80M's and Beyerdynamic T1's that I use with my PC and also a turntable.
The Schiit Jotunheim caught my eye, would this be a definitive step up? It looks like I could use it as a USB DAC, hook my 80M's up to it via XLR, and it appears there is an RCA input in the back for a turntable. Do I have all that right?
Would this provide noticeably better quality than what I've already got? Or any alternatives worth looking at? Thanks.
