Hope it sounds as good as it looks, because at over 3 times the price of an Audio-gd NFB-1AMP it's not exactly a bargain...

4-pin XLR is more common in desktop amps and full-size headphones. just use an adaptor :D
I don’t have problem with it (adapter, or even cables, I can work on them). I just wonder, the 4.4mm is being adopted all around the world, especially in newly run productions. Even Sennheiser and every one else.

I do know XLR 4 is an ancient standard. Does it hurt to drill one more hole, run more trace, and hook up a 4.4mm socket for something $1400 ? Probably

Look good :), why no 4.4 socket while you are at it ?
Because P1 is mostly designed for big headphones, so 4.4 output is not a must for us.

LOL, our new mobile player later in this year, maybe will have 4.4 socket.
For P1, we designed it for mainstream headphones...so....

Hahaha!
Yeah, The boss of Era in Ear heard of P1 when it was only a sample, at that time he thought the sound is super. And the P1 now is modified based on that, so we are really confident about it.
If you are in Ukraine, you can buy it from him.

So it's even better now?

Can you tell me how it is with the Utopia?
And will there be a huge difference based on single ended output vs a balanced output when it's connected through XLR from DAC?

Yes it is even better now.
Our buyer has tried with Utopia, and he reported P1 drived very well, it's very tuneful and the sound stage is big.
There will be some difference between single end and balanced out, but it will also depend on your DAC, if the output level varies much.
thanks

Any direct comparisons vs Audio-gd Master 9 or more thorough reviews?
Regarding the Utopia, I don't share peoples opinions on the Utopia, I think based on my current system they are very capable headphone, the sound is full and has plenty bass to talk about (so no "Lean sound" as they say) so if HD800 didn't have much bass to talk about, and HD800S improved on that a lot... Utopia spews dust on both of them combined. It's true that the soundstage is not gigantic, but there's plenty of Imaging to make up for it and feel like there is.
The Soundaware P1 is also a much smaller device than Master 9, but I like that shaded window on top with the lights :) Though I do think that the front could have been more special.
You need to start marketing reviews because this is so far a no name, even though I remember when I started the hobby here people had a lot of soundaware equipment in their signatures, don't see this as much nowadays.

I would say the 4.4mm connection is the new balanced desktop standard replacing the 4 pin xlr which actually replaced the dual 3 pin xlr. One balanced connector for desktop and portable. Finally!!!
