Hi everyone! How are u doing?

My collection now have these: ATH-M50x (HM5 Pads), LCD2 Fazor, Shure SRH1540, Denon AH-D600 and recieving a EL-8 Open this sunday.

I tried the JVC HP-DX1000 and LOVED. Now i know that i NEED that sound OMG!!!!

Looking at ebay, i found many Japanese sellers with the DX1000s for around $ 650. But, thats the question. Is that a lot of money for a "weak" equipament? How would the Denons are compared with them? Or should i go with Fostex?

Well, trying to be more clear: Is $ 650 a lot of money for the JVCs? Are there better options with the same/more budget but with the absolutely the SAME KIND OF SOUND?

The contenders: (the options are in my order of preference)

1 - JVC HP-DX1000
2 - Wait for some reviews of FOSTEX TH610
3 - FOSTEX TH-X00 (Head-Fi's classified with someone that would ship to Brazil)
4 - Denon AH-D5000/7000 (i read that they dont have so much bass boost, right? and i would prefer a new combo)
5 - FOSTEX TH900 MK2 (are they rly worth the money over the JVC? They are out of my budget, especially because i live in Brazil, so i would pay around $ 2.500,00 with taxes for them)

What the headfiers would do in my place?

$650 is a good price for dx1000. Those jvc's are really unique sounding headphones so your options are limited. Dx700 is a safe bet but usually it is not much cheaper than dx1000.

Unfortunately I've never had a change to try out fostex/denon. To my understanding both fostex and denon have elevated highs. JVC's have very smooth treble so if that is one of those things that appealed to you, fostex/denon are not for you.
