Wonder how well dte900 competes against tri- or quadbrids from relatively well known companies like thieaudio or UM. As someone who like to observe korean audiophile communities, Sound Rhyme is extremely under appreciated as its a smaller companies so almost zero member there has tried sr8 nor dte900. I believe that it is due to the limitation of chance that they hear about these products, not because that these performs in a league behind compared to.. something like monarch or mest. I assume people tend not to risk their several hundreds of $ when the info is limited, thus tend to choose a safer option where more impressions are available and highly regarded by many. I hope that we can have a chance to test this IEMs directly (demo unit in an audioshop) or indirectly through more reviewers so that they can choose between more options.

DTE900 is another great iem tuned in collaboration with Penon but this time they do it better then previous models I bought from them.
This set plays in 2000-2500$ league.
I really like tuning, it provide a full bodied sound, with huge deep and punchy bass, lush mids but detailed and crisp but natural highs, these EST are toxic!
This is not a reference tuning, it’s a fun tuning, but very well done and perfect for music lovers.
I found a lot of similarities with Aroma Thunder and Nostalgia Camelot, but it takes something from Fir RN6 and ISN EST50 also.
I started to listen it yesterday with iBasso DX320X and today I’m enjoying a lot with Cayin N7, it’s soon to say wich one is better but with N7 o found a good sinergy using stock cable and tips also.
I appreciate it a lot, cause it means nothing was underrated, and imho cable and tips make a real difference on SQ.
I’d describe DTE900 impactful, higly dynamic, fuller yet detailed iem, but it’s better to say a true bargain.

Can anyone comment on how bassy the DTE900 sounds with only the bass switch on? Just curious if they can pull duty as a basshead IEM.

Glad to hear the positive listening experience w/ it... For me, with the right tips, and using the Onkyo HF music app on the N6ii Ti SE, I think this may be my endgame. It's just a fantastic combo.

Yeah, with some burn in, I do prefer the DTE900.
